Part of a $220 Million base area redevelopment and on-mountain improvement project, the Full Steam Ahead base area improvements included relocating the main gondola onto the ski slopes to free up the plaza for a reimagined guest and staff experience. The demolition of the gondola terminal allowed the introduction of a multi-use, amenity-rich plaza that created an easy-to-navigate resort core, adding escalator access, an ice skating rink, concert stage and a new dining, shopping and entertainment venue.
