Basecamp at Steamboat Springs

Basecamp at Steamboat Springs

The Basecamp at Steamboat Springs project focused on an amazing vision to repurpose the former Steamboat Pilot & Today building as the anchor to a full-block, mixed-use community. A portion of the building was preserved as an adaptive reuse for commercial purposes including a cafe, fitness studio and bike shop. The old newspaper printing area was demolished and rebuilt from the ground up as a five-story apartment complex for a total of 75 residential units.

The overall site was improved to introduce an internal road network that separated users for traffic management, a complex drainage system, utility improvements and thoughtful phasing of an additional five residential rowhome-style buildings.

“From thoughtful space-savvy living to sprawling gathering spots, Basecamp is for those who value experiences over expenses and quality over quantity.”
